Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 3, 2026
This policy explains what data is collected, and why, when you use the FluxWP plugins and themes developed by FluxWP (“FluxWP”, “we”), the update service and fluxwp.com. Users in Turkey will find more detail in the KVKK Privacy Notice.
In short
- For updates we take only what is needed: installed FluxWP packages and versions, a random install ID, and your site key if you have one.
- Your site address, WordPress and PHP version, language, time zone and anonymous error data are sent only if you tick “Help us improve FluxWP”. It is off by default.
- We do not sell data or use it for advertising.
- fluxwp.com uses no tracking or advertising cookies.
What FluxWP plugins do on your site
FluxWP plugins run on your site. Your content, users, orders, donations and form entries stay on your server and are not sent to us. You, the site owner, are the controller of that data. Some plugins connect to services you configure (for example an email server, WhatsApp API, AI provider or payment provider); those connections follow your settings and those services’ own terms.
Update service
FluxWP Panel connects to updater.fluxwp.com to check for updates and sends:
- names and versions of the FluxWP plugins and themes installed,
- the FluxWP Panel version,
- a random install ID (not derived from your site),
- your site key, if you were given one.
Your IP address reaches the server as part of the connection. It is not written to statistics; it is logged only for invalid key attempts and deleted after 90 days. Without consent, WordPress’ default user agent, which contains your site address, is also removed from these requests.
Usage data (optional)
If you tick the box:
- update checks also carry your site address, WordPress version, PHP version, time zone and language, from which the country is derived,
- at most once a day, anonymous usage data goes to fluxwp.com: a random telemetry ID, WordPress version, PHP major version, site language, versions of active FluxWP plugins and themes, and PHP errors and warnings from FluxWP plugins,
- the setup wizard records how far it got, which packages were picked, the chosen preset and colour, whether it was finished, and roughly how long it took.
Server paths, domain names, URLs, email and IP addresses are stripped from error messages before sending. We use this data to find bugs, see which WordPress and PHP versions to support, and improve the wizard. You can withdraw consent any time in FluxWP Panel > Settings; your address and version details are removed from our record on the next check.
